Exercise for Mental Health: My Depression Journal – Day 9

E

In today’s entry in my depression journal, I want to emphasize the importance of exercise. Although I woke up with mixed feelings and a strong desire to stay in bed, I managed to motivate myself to get up, have breakfast, and head to the gym.

At the gym, I engaged in a variety of exercises, including treadmill running, mountain climbers, pushups, and planks. As I worked up a sweat, I experienced an indescribable but profoundly relieving sensation. It was the first truly relieving feeling I’ve had in quite some time.

There’s an undeniable power in exercise that cannot be overlooked. I recall listening to a podcast by Mel Robbins in which she passionately asserted, “Exercise like your life depends on it.”

After my gym session, I returned home and delved into research on how to begin a career in content writing. It’s something that has always lingered in the back of my mind, though I’ve been uncertain about whether I should give it a try. During my research, the phrase “find your niche” repeatedly surfaced, leading me to question if I even possess a specific area of expertise that sets me apart from the general public. Nevertheless, the quest for a fulfilling career continues…

On the dietary front, I ensured I had three proper meals today and incorporated an apple into my daily intake of fruits. The last part of my day was dedicated to writing this blog about my depression journal post for the day, and I’m hopeful that I’ll maintain this routine and be on time again tomorrow to repeat the entire process!
