There are days when I
Don’t feel like getting out of bed, yet I do
Don’t feel like going to work, yet I do anyway
have the energy for a workout, yet I do it
Don’t feel like seeing my friends, yet I do
The point is it never gets easy but the good news is that you can train your brain, overtime, to cope and be strong. So instead of asking for easy, get going instead, work on your triggers and responses. It’s the hard stuff that you avoid doing that ends up bringing the inner change you want.
I have two perceptions on this: 1) Even if I don’t feel like it, I’ll do it anyway, and 2) If I don’t feel like it, I won’t do it, because I believe that my mind/body has a way of communicating with me, I trust it completely and therefore I’ll listen to it.
Got an idea about this now while writing the comment: maybe it just depends on the situation (if it’s about the workout, I’d choose the first option; if it’s about going out to party, I’d choose the second one).
At this point I want to add that your blog just got me thinking and that’s what I like when reading something – that it makes me question myself, my beliefs and that I find new answers 🙂
Glad to get you to thinking?
