Here is what happens when sadness prevails in your life for a prolonged period of time. You start to doubt if you’re ever going to be happy again. Or if there will be a time when you will no longer be sad.
This belief gets so attached in your head that when something good happens eventually and you see yourself smiling, you are scared. You are scared because you know whenever you have been happy, that time has been followed with a period of sadness.
Imagine being scared to be happy. It’s not a pleasant imagination.
