Self Therapy Session 12

S

Hello everyone and welcome to another session of Self Therapy ?

Please don’t mind any grammatical mistakes since I am walking towards my gym as I type this.

Let’s review the past week starting with the most important- mental health. The sleep has significantly improved, I wake up fresh with the thought of conquering my day. Mood has been uplifted and I do see friends every now and then.

Next let’s discuss physical health, been gaining weight. Have gained 2 ksgs in past 2 months easily. Not a good sign as my tummy shows and trust me it’s not a pleasant sight ?

Anyway I am working out regularly and the gains are evident, a pleasant sight I must say 😉

Coming to work, it’s all good. Overtime gets too much and is taking a toll but we are being told it’s temporary so just hanging on for now.

All in all a good week. My therapist says I now have a better ability to articulate my feelings which is a positive sign ofcourse. There is definite progress. Hoping to have an even better week. That will be all, see you in another session next week.

You guys let me know about your week in comments 🙂

  • Thank you for sharing! I am also in a constant state of self improvement with a handful of diagnoses and a decade of therapy under my belt. It sounds like you have a kind and competent therapist, which is a true blessing. My week has been full of smiles and blunders. I have also been working overtime. This is the time to practice self care. Sleep, eat, hydrate, stretch, smile and turn down any obligation you don’t have the capacity for. I am always trying to temper mood swings and juggle intense anxiety. No two days are the same. Now we have a holiday and a birthday party to sift through. Wishing you continued positivity. Keep up the good work!

  • It is okay to gain a little bit of weight as long as you are healthy! It sounds like you go to the gym a lot and sleep regularly, so try not to worry too much about weight gain 🙂

  • You seem to have a lot of ambition in trying to build a better you. We share the same type of struggles, with exercise, our weight, and with sleeping. The story of my past week is in my latest blog post. Hang in there and keep up the good work!
