Song Lyrics Search – Unstoppable

All smiles, I know what it takes to fool this town
I’ll do it ’til the sun goes down and all through the night time
Oh yeah, oh yeah, I’ll tell you what you wanna hear
Leave my sunglasses on while I shed a tear
It’s never the right time, yeah, yeah
I put my armor on, show you how strong how I am
I put my armor on, I’ll show you that I am
I’m unstoppable
I’m a Porsche with no brakes
I’m invincible
Yeah, I win every single game
I’m so powerful
I don’t need batteries to play
I’m so confident, yeah, I’m unstoppable today
Unstoppable today, unstoppable today
Unstoppable today, I’m unstoppable today
Break down, only alone I will cry out now
You’ll never see what’s hiding out
Hiding out deep down, yeah, yeah
I know, I’ve heard that to let your feelings show
Is the only way to make friendships grow
But I’m too afraid now, yeah, yeah
I put my armor on, show you how strong how I am
I put my armor on, I’ll show you that I am
I’m unstoppable
I’m a Porsche with no brakes
I’m invincible
Yeah, I win every single game
I’m so powerful
I don’t need batteries to play
I’m so confident, yeah, I’m unstoppable today
Unstoppable today, unstoppable today
Unstoppable today, I’m unstoppable today
Unstoppable today, unstoppable today
Unstoppable today, I’m unstoppable today
I put my armor on, show you how strong how I am
I put my armor on, I’ll show you that I am
I’m unstoppable
I’m a Porsche with no brakes
I’m invincible
Yeah, I win every single game
I’m so powerful
I don’t need batteries to play
I’m so confident, yeah, I’m unstoppable today
Unstoppable today, unstoppable today
Unstoppable today, I’m unstoppable today
Unstoppable today, unstoppable today
Unstoppable today, I’m unstoppable today

Will life ever get easier?

No. But you will find the strength to keep going.

Fall down 10 times, get back up 11.

Keep hitting till you stop getting hit.

Stop dreaming when you’re asleep and start dreaming when you’re awake.

Tackle your problems head on.

Connect with people who will help you on your journey.

Do not be afraid to ask for help.

Find the love that is meant for you.

Drift away from those who drain your energy.

Live, laugh, love.

Crawl.

Walk.

Run.

Fly.

(Even fall)

But never stop!

Will life ever get easier?

No. But you will find the strength to keep going 😊

Not all is bad

The human mind is such that when we have a bad experience we quicky jump to the conclusion that everything is bad.

However this may not be true. My therapist told me the same thing today and he worded it beautifully:

“Look at how much you have achieved amidst the Tsunami”

I do acknowledge that it is true. I have showed massive resiliency even in the face of adversity. Even though each time I felt like I was done and I could no longer go on but I stood back up and tried things a little differently each time.

The point of this post is to save yourself from falling into the everything is bad trap. Acknowledge the good things that happen to you despite all that goes wrong. Find the meaning in your encounters because they happen for a reason. Nothing is accidental.

About making it work

Sometimes the past can be scary, it may haunt us in our present. Our past can spoil our present experiences which are meant to be good. But we simply don’t allow them to be that way due to all the baggage we are carrying from the past.

No matter how bad things have been before, we must always be willing to start fresh. To give ourself another chance. Quoting the lion king on this, “It is in the past. You can now either learn from it or learn from it”

We must trust the good people that exist in our life, that make us hopeful of a better and brighter future. Because if we keep dwelling in the past, we may never experience true happiness again.

Making your bed

Here is a new habit that I learned which has made a positive impact in my life. I make my bed the minute I am up. Not just in the morning but whatever time of the day I sleep.

Previously this used to seem like a hassle and I would leave it as it is upto a week till it looked like an inmate had been sleeping in it. Here is why making my bed makes me feel good:

1. Whenever I enter my room and have a look at it, it feels like an accomplishment. I see a tidy bed and I know I did it which makes me proud.

2. When my bed is made, I try not to lie down on it so as not to spoil it. This helps those with depression especially because they should only lie in bed when they want to sleep, not otherwise.

3. The best feeling is when I am back home from work. I am exhausted at the time but as soon as I enter my room my face lights up.

Do share in comments if you share this habit and how it makes you feel good 😊

Dream big

I read it somewhere that if you tell someone about your dream and they don’t laugh back at you then your dream is not big enough.

We often have dreams that are

1- very short term

2- very achievable

Which is why once we achieve them, we lose a sense of purpose. We do not aim for the big dreams, the one’s we really want because of this deep fear and self doubt that maybe they will never come true. And this is the first step where you actually set yourself up for failure.

For the longest time I had convinced myself that I will never get married and never achieve anything meaningful in life. This thought was stored in my subconscious and it stopped me from doing anything big that would ultimately make me achieve anything meaningful. These days I am all about changing my mindset to change my life so I actually believe that both of the things mentioned are achievable.

I understand that they might take a long time, but I tell myself that when it happens it will be worth it. My 6 month goal is to save up enough to travel to a magical place with a certain someone. This goal motivated me to get out there and get a job. Not liking the job has become secondary because my primary objective is the 6 month goal.

I’ll give some examples on setting your dreams straight. Firstly make sure that it contains something so BIG that you cannot possibly achieve it entirely in your lifetime. For instance ending poverty, travelling the world or being the best ever at something. There is so much poverty to work on, the world is huge for you to travel and being the best at something would require you to do things that others aren’t willing to do. These dreams will keep you going because you’ll know there is more you need to do to keep going.

What are some dreams that you have not while you’re sleeping, but that keep you up? What are some dreams that when they cross your mind, your inner critic says you can’t achieve them? Do share in comments 😊

Counting my blessings

This post is literally about what is mentioned in the caption. I am going to be listing down the things that I’m grateful for. This can either be big or small does not matter. One strong trait of depression is that a person under it’s influence starts to believe that there is nothing to be grateful.

I can validate this from personal experience. However if you really concentrate, there would be more than 1 thing everyday for you to be grateful of. So this is exactly what I did. I started to notice the little little things that go ignored and started noting them down. I set out to do this for a week till I reach at least 30 of such things. I’ll go ahead and list them out:

1- At my job being fluent in English is a must. I was able to get the required education and am grateful for it.

2- I have depression. Some treatments include talk therapy, medication and working out. I am grateful for being able to afford all of the three mentioned.

3- I was unemployed for months. Yet I had a roof to live under, food to feed on and good clothes to wear.

4- I am gifted with the skill of writing. It’s an art to put your feelings to words. Not everyone is capable of this.

5- There are people who appreciate me, support me and are there for me even when I am not there for my self. I am grateful to have such people in my life.

6- I logged into netflix for some binge watching. This was when i realized that I was blessed to have access to an account and a tv to play it on.

7- Grateful for the food that was cooked by my mom on my request.

8- Living in a place where water is a major issue, having access to water at all times is a blessing.

9- At the current state I am living with zero life threatening diseases.

10- I have completed the highest level of education that people go for already.

11- Had this random thought of learning french, didn’t have to think much of the finances.

12- The gym i go too is well equipped , somewhere i love to go.

13- I believe I am good looking 😋

14- I believe I have a pleasant personality.

15- There are more reasons to live than not to.

16- I am progressing in terms of feeling better, i can feel it.

17- I have cousins i can hangout with who make me feel better.

18- Last night I spent a sizeable amount of money on food alone because i could afford to.

19- No matter how bad the situation is I always end up feeling hopeful.

20- I don’t have to worry about bills, my dad has them covered for me.

21- I have access to a park, where I can go whenever I feel like jogging.

22- My eyesight is 10/10.

23- I’ve been going to the gym regularly.

24- My legs are working a 100% so I can run as fast as possible.

25- My friends make me remember things I’m grateful for and I’m grateful for that.

26- My office is 10 mins from my place. Some colleagues have an hour of commute. I’m grateful for this.

27- Grateful to be born as a Muslim.

28- People spend their entire lives building their own house, I already have one.

29- I don’t have to share my room with anyone hence I can do whatever i please the way i want.

30- My decisions are solely mine, no one has ever embosed their decision on me.

Now I want you all to start looking closely in your lives and comment with things that you are truly grateful for 😊

Self Therapy 5

Hello everyone! I hope you are all doing great. I am back with yet another session of Self Therapy. Let me be honest, this week was not as cool as last week but it was cool enough on its own. To take a quick overview of previous sessions check here:

Session 1- https://wp.me/paIipC-1L
Session 2- https://wp.me/paIipC-24
Session 3- https://wp.me/paIipC-2g
Session 4- https://wp.me/paIipC-2H

Talking about the past week, it has been about getting used to my new schedule. I started a night job which essentially means I had to reschedule my entire day accordingly.

I made it a point to hit the gym early morning after a 9 hour work shift. I’ll be honest it was not easy, but totally worth it. The week has pretty much consisted of work, gym and catching up on sleep.

In between the hassle of adjusting my schedule, I noticed something beautiful today. I had an uninterrupted 5 hour sleep. You must be wondering that is normal isn’t it? For someone who sleeps 2-3 hours a day it is not. It was great! One of the best I have had in a long time.

Another highlight of the week would be this friend I have made through my blog. She keeps a check on me and makes sure I have a great day. Coming across this amazing person was the last thing I could have ever imagined but what can I say, you can expect magic to happen at times🌟

In conclusion I would say that I am standing at a very exciting time in life. I am working on my mental and physical health while trying to balance my work. There have been difficulties in the past in doing so but I have a strong feeling that I will pull through this time around.

Stay tuned for Session 6 for some more updates 😊
